Walt Disney's Barnby ~Anzeo

This barn is actually a copy of a copy.
The original barn was his family's barn.
The copy was his workshop.
Disney originally had a copy of his family's barn made as a workshop at his California barn. The family barn represented one of his first show business experiences. He put on a barn circus, and charged an admission of one dime. But the kids felt that the circus was a bust since it was a bunch of farm animals and the family dog and cat. His mother made him refund the money and told him, "If you deliver more than your audience expects, then they will never be disappointed." This held great influence over Walt and his future endeavors.

When visiting this barn you are meant to autograph and write notes to Disney on the walls inside. It is quite filled, but I managed to autograph and write a note.

Marceline, was an hour from where I used to live, and is only 20 minutes away from where I get on and off the bus when I visit.

This barn is in Marceline, Missouri. A town which Walt considered as his childhood home, and very influential in much of what he did.
